I realized that I have never formally introduced my cats on BlueSky. So, please meet Chester and Charlie, my babies.
Despite their different colours, they are actually biological brothers. Chester is somewhat of an aristocrat, while Charlie is permanently stuck in a teenage emo phase.🧡🖤
Chester takes great pride in his fluffy white mane, and gets mad when we have to trim it in the spring, because it gets in the way of his cleaning. He tends to drool when he’s happy, and loves being sassy. Chester also attacks any writing tool that I’d be using around him, and he sits on my work, little goof. Charlie has an occasional habit of hissing without actually puffing his body up. He’s been doing it less and less as he got older, but we don’t know why he does it. Charlie is also known for his scraggly meow, again, it’s just how he’s always been. One feature I love about Charlie is the black splotch on his nose. It’s as if someone dropped pain on him. As much as I want to, Charlie has made it clear that he’s not usually a cuddly guy. We adopted them when they were four months old, a bonded pair from the get go. The only other sibling I saw was a grey sister that had already been adopted. Charlie doesn’t raise his voice, so Chester usually vouches for him when it’s mealtime. There are other cats in the neighbourhood, but thankfully my babies don’t get into much trouble with them. Charlie did have a fight once, but that was about it. They both tolerated a smaller female cat that lived in the area for a while, so they are not without standards. One time, an unknown grey cat entered through our cat door by mistake, and was like a deer in headlights when Chester started growling and hissing at him. I stepped in before Chester threw paws, and escorted the mortified cat back out. I truly love my babies, my sons. I don’t know what I’d do without them. Please, let them stay for many more years to come.
