Yes. Who owns the media?

A quick look tells us they are likely sympathetic to Farage and his gang.

I don’t blame Scots Nationalists at all for wanting away from English rule. If it was ever a good thing (I doubt it) it certainly isn’t now.

It would create an awful mess for both sides though.

Doubt they want us back, and I couldn’t blame them. That ship has sailed, for now.

Maybe one day, when all the Brexit lies are finally understood by the country. I’m not holding much hope though, our pathetic hubris remains.

It will probably take something truly awful before we understand.

Astonishing really that corruption is pretty much bragged about now. Our political class have not served us for a long time.

Unfortunately it’s when times are hard that you discover the friends that aren’t. It’s hard but you can console yourself with knowing what they really are.

No need to expend any more effort on them.

It’s a mess, and not just in USA, though they have more power so are more worrying right now.

There are no simple answers and it is likely to get worse before it gets better.

Easy to point at others doing nothing, there’s lots to do across the world.

What a fabulous lady you are.

Beyoncé has never been my thing but I understand your post. There are millions out there that adore her and have for years (decades?), that counts.

You are a good man.

And none of it helping women at all. Quite the opposite, as will become clear in time.

Nope. Labour joined the list of never again, with unforgivable decisions being made.

And yes, I understand the threat from Reform but you don’t beat it by being it in all but name.

You are right, would be nice if it was a better world but…

Awesome album. Still stands today, hasn’t dated at all

I didn’t have high hopes for Labour when they got in, just stopping the shifts to the right, maybe reverse it a bit.

I’m disappointed they have managed to smash those hopes.

Not sure why I don’t use stronger language, maybe because it wouldn’t suffice anyway.

Night Watch is my favourite book, by anyone. After that it’s a close field, so many to love. Nation for non-disc, Carpe Jugulum for peak Granny, Good Omens for ignoring the co author. List goes on and on, easily my favourite author.

Hubris is what ultimately did it, he’s a symptom really. Not unique to USA, though perhaps more urgent there right now.
