You can't just hide bad beer with a bunch of hops. It will still be bad beer, sorry. 🤷🍻

It's going to take caring more about beer quality to navigate the current craft beer landscape. The days of getting by because you're new and exciting have passed.

Back over visiting family for Christmas. I love this brewery. Bold brown ale, somewhat between an English and American style. Roasty and firmly bitter. Nice hoppiness from the Cascade, too.

I don't partake in the seasonality of beer, or beverage even. Give me a stout in July. Do I only drink milkshakes in the summer? Can I not drink orange juice in December? Exceptional beer should have no lines drawn.

I found myself in Wellington, NZ during Hopstock 2018, a week celebrating fresh hopped beer and the recent hop harvest. We were passing through, on our journey across the country, and I decided to take a solo detour for a week. Serendipity. What an incredible time and the most fantastic beer.
