The audience to my latest game of #forestshuffle had to take a break from constant questions for a #knitting consultation with one of the big brothers. Don’t worry. They got back to their questions as soon as they found the dropped stitch.

I’ve been trying out Red Rising solo. I’ve never played Fantasy Realms but rather enjoy the way the strategy changes based on cards available. This game will likely get better as I get to know the cards!

After a week spent in a 2 bedroom cabin with my wife and our 6 kids, I have decided that I need to write a #PBtA #TTRPG called Powered by the Whine.

We actually had a lovely time, but HOLY CRAP there was a lot of whine…

I decided to play a few games of Lost Cities on a concrete pad next to the stream where my children were playing. It felt appropriate that a large Northern water snake kept his eye on us throughout the game… #reinerknizia #lostcities #boardgames

My 8 year old Griffin and his friend R had a play date a few days ago. In preparation, R made a list of possible activities for them.
I’m pleased to see a #boardgame on the list and #d&d. But I’m also pleased with how #waldorfeducation encourages our kids not to turn to screens for fun.

My main #boardgames partners are my children. Which means each game gets interrupted 5 or more times for bathroom breaks.
Sometimes I long to play a game with someone who can last the whole game without having to pee. Or at the very least washes their hands (with soap) without being asked…Someday.

I decided to order a @boardgamegeek.com Geek hoodie because I like the Geek and I like heavy warm hoodies. And because it seems like an accurate label for me.
My not so secret goal is that it will act as a bat signal for other folks who love #boardgames that I pass in town.
