This is such a great video. I remember learning about the "tensions" between coal miners and the coal companies, but apparently a lot was left out of the history books. And sadly, that's not a surprise. 😡

@support.bsky.team Since bluesky posts are being used to get people fired from their jobs, are there any plans to allow users to make their profiles private?

We saved up for a long time to buy a house with a pool, and then a few weeks after moving in, Hurricane Helene damaged it badly.

It is finally fixed and filling. There will be so much relaxing in a couple days.

Today in ridiculous rules in the US: homeowners insurance can approve a claim & issue a check to cover repairs, but the money has to be sent to the mortgage holder. That company then may choose to apply that money to the balance owed, not the repair the money was intended for. How TF is this legal?

I share a lot of national stuff. Local MAGAts are just as insane in my city, too. Apparently trash pickup isn't necessary.

If passed, bill could end trash services for about 60K Greenville Co. residents
A new bill has been introduced by lawmakers to do away with Greater Greenville Sanitation.

I hope this and Flashes are both eventually available on Android. Anything that gets us away from Meta/TikTok/X would be great.

It's beautiful here. Such a shame the state is run by a lunatic.

I'm in Florida all week for work. My company provided a shirt for us to wear during an outdoor activity tomorrow.

It's supposed to be 85 degrees and sunny.

The shirt is black, long sleeved and has a collar about as tall as a turtleneck.

What were they on when they made this decision? 🥵

This is not giving me confidence about the flight I have to take for a required work training on Monday.
A second plane has gone down in 3 days. Seems like things were safer when DEI was still in place.

This is excellent read.
And it's heartbreaking to think about what we could have had for the next 4 years.

This would be hilarious if it wasn't so serious.
In fairness the resulting fire and explosion might have set off the sprinklers.

This is how a country SHOULD react when a president abuses power.

The US should take notes.
South Korean authorities arrested President Yoon Suk Yeol early Sunday, days after he was detained by investigators in relation to his botched attempt to impose martial law last month. He has been accused of leading an insurrection and abusing his power.

Yoon, who was impeached and suspended from office in December, is the first sitting South Korean president to be arrested.

This is what I've been saying. Most of the legit sources are expensive & the fake BS conservatives spread is free. It shouldn't be a surprise so many people have no clue what's happening.

We subscribe to 4 major newspapers, 2 local newspapers and 2 substack newsletters and it is not sustainable.

Here's the problem—"low-information voters" aren't going to pay $$ to be informed. As long as "information" costs money, the people who need it most won't get it.

I appreciate the list of newsletters, but we need FREE, factual information to make informed decisions.

I love these labels that hide content. The posts are there if I want to see them, but hidden until I choose to look. Such a great idea.
