Oh ty! All the replies have def provided clarity. I will keep at it and maybe alternate a rd with 1dc c1 1dc1 corners, with my 2dc ch2 2dc corners I'm already doing.

Oh, ok. Thank you! I was kinda doing it freestyle, past the motif rounds. Basically was just doing stitches that only needed to match the stitch count of a round (ie, a dc rd, then a moss stitch rd, then the granny cluster rd).Just now adding my second skein, so, maybe it will start evening out.
