My counterpoint to flow haters in taiko though

Good charting results in good flow inherently

Because good charting is derived from consistency
If you take an idea to represent the music and establish it consistently, it will flow well.

This has been on my mind ever since I received feedback during a poetry circle to change the grammar of a line to better guide the reader
I didn’t like the change at all or the idea of changing my art for the consumption of others
I guess that’s why some taiko charters get frustrated by “flow” mods

I guess a good example is how arts like poetry are inaccessible to those who don’t speak the language

Point is
Create for your intended audience I guess
That audience can be solely yourself too

I personally wish to only create for myself
The only feedback I care for is what betters my vision

I don’t want to let that stop you from creating though

For visual art I still photobash and trace
Not great practices, but, it has gotten me closer to drawing the things I want to draw
I encourage you to do the same

I say “bad” at art
But I don’t necessarily think any art is bad
I just say it because the inner critic is strong in a lot of us
Its hard to be something if we are not “good”

I’m sure behind many AI artists, are people who’s inner critic were so strong, they decided their own art wasn’t worth it

Also what is the music production subgroup I am looking for? I’d like to know who to go to when I have questions
