It's wise to keep desired scope in mind... I think you could make the scope much more manageable if you condensed it to a neighborhood instead of a whole city, idk if that works for your game though

I'm curious about what you changed to make Winter's Daughter gel with 5e '24. Did you just drop in monsters as appropriate or did you make any other changes?

i think i agree, my problem is that i dont want to do cartography and my drawing "skills" are not intelligible to other people; it's a big blind spot in my skillset
