I don’t know why it only occurred to me within the past couple of months just how *reckless* the human species is. It should have been obvious, but somehow I repeatedly overlooked the trait and attributed the pattern to anomalies.

That “debate and free speech” line was never about anything more than pushing their way onto campuses and demanding a platform where they were not wanted. It never had anything to do with diverse viewpoints, rigorous dialogue, or critical thinking.

It’d be interesting to see what would happen if the presidency required a “vow of poverty” like when someone enters a church order. Maybe not a permanent vow but one for twice the duration of their term?

Nothing about this court demonstrates neutral jurisprudence or application of law. Activist judgments have become the norm and it belies the fundamental principles of our government.

I hope someone at these federal agencies still has enough integrity to be archiving all the documentation we will need to prosecute these kidnappers in the future.

It was obvious they were lies, but the entire nation was gripped by mad jingoism post-9/11 so the majority of people considered it their “patriotic duty” to believe and support all the propaganda. That hysteria is directly linked to our current demise.
