Had a game runner suggest all players should be checked regularly for cheating...

I say no. If someone's going to cheat, they will and if they're good they might even get away with it. Punish the ones you catch doing wrong, not everyone in your whole game.

Now, I might judge experienced players for putting no effort in, I think it really lowers immersion and makes the game look crap, but new players? Hell no!

It's up to experienced players to loan out kit and give advice to new players, not to judge them!

This has only happened maybe twice in any of my games I've been a player in (not my NPCs). They both ended very messy.

NPCs are there to make things fun for players, not to win.

What was your favourite plot from a roleplaying game you played/ ran?
My favourite LARP plot I've run was probably my demon plot, (big bad pictured) inspired by a book by Clive Barker. The big ritual the players did at the end was just *chef's kiss*

Had this really bad from a previous plot at Fools and Heroes LARP. When the baddies just made too much good sense, some of the players wanted to join them. 😂

I mean they were also evil AF but... The players didn't know that at the beginning.

While immersion is good, it is possible to get *too* attached to a character... Character bleed is real.

It's only happened a handful of times for me in my 19 years of LARP but it can be pretty awful. Ever had it happen to you?

Do you prefer your LRP PvP or PvE?
I like a bit of both, but some PvP leaves a sour taste... It's much more fun when you're forced to work together imo.
