Our country is free for some but not all
Our country was built on the backs of the oppressed
But it is a democracy, just flawed
We were moving towards justice and equity
Now the White House is further whitewashing history and moving back to scarier times, potentially without any democracy at all

Very sad for all the lives lost in last night’s plane crash. Scared more tragedies may come. Trump froze hires and cut safety checks days prior to this crash. They are using their hatred of “other” to blame this on DEI policies when they made the safety cuts. dishonor to those grieving families

We can’t be neutral while lives are at stake.

I will to my best to continue to set examples for my children and the community: acceptance not just tolerance, listening not just hearing, and most of all, not just espousing progressive values in my family but calling out racism, sexism, ableism, genderism, and classism when I see it.

Not sure how we exist in a world if fact becomes fiction and fiction becomes fact. We have to keep fighting.
