Dogs. Books. Optimistic cynic. Proud product of NYC public schools. Columbia Law ‘03.
More specifically, I'm in air conditioning. It's a modern convenience I never take for granted!

The roundtable in today’s NYT is terrific. Some harsh messaging to Dems, but much-needed sobriety and must-dos if we’re to regain trust & inspire people to believe we understand & care about most people’s struggles

I’m a centrist Dem and I appreciate your presence here and your contributions.

She's insufferably stupid.

This is DT's and MAGA's America. The darkest and worst impulses of humanity voted for this.
April 14, 2025 at 8:39 PM
Predictable.

Utterly disgusted.

Luckily, I did a reno (new fridge and various fixtures) and bought a new iMac last week. I have an iPhone 15 Pro. No new electronics under DTarrifs. Won't pay more for clothing (I can wait a long time). Only coffee stays.

It's as though he doesn't actually know what a tariff is

When Liesman is in brilliant beast mode, he takes no prisoners!

I sold most of my Apple share today during the rally. And I bought a new iMac last week. Getting older and more cynical has its benefits.

Embarrassing for GS. Predictions mean little now. Everyone looks the fool if they think they know what DT’s mercurial impulses will be

This is material for The Onion

Thank you for sharing this. Nice to see Fenwick there too. All these firms have infinitely more courage and integrity than those who surrendered or are staying shamefully silent.
April 4, 2025 at 6:34 PM
So much winning!
April 3, 2025 at 9:21 PM
Serious question, George: Would you ask some of your friends at some of the top firms that have yet to grovel, whether DT's catastrophic, economy-shattering policies will move them to grow a spine--especially with, I suspect, some clients fed up with this cosplaying clown hurting their bottom line?
April 3, 2025 at 8:33 PM
I prefer Neil Dutta's riff, calling it "Obliteration Day"
April 3, 2025 at 7:01 PM
Behold, the disgraceful law firms which daftly thought that selling out would inure to their favor. As the months and years unfold, I bet they will rue their cowardly surrender.
April 3, 2025 at 5:29 PM
In true meme stock fashion!
April 2, 2025 at 7:50 PM
Money before morality. Columbia and my former law firm had already prostrated themselves before a tyrant. Willkie just couldn't help cutting and pasting Skadden's craven concessions. I'm so disgusted.

This country needs a vaccine to fight the Rogan plague

Weak and spineless decision. We need a fighter, not a capitulator.

Schumer is incapable of leading the Ds anymore. He’s part of the problem, not the solution.
March 14, 2025 at 5:28 PM
I’m reading Navalny’s memoir. He is a hero and inspiration for the ages-someone who died for freedom and truth. Not sure any politician has the credibility, courage, and authenticity to be the Navalny we need to lead the fight against the US’s Putin

$320 is overly optimistic
