I think he has a point, there definitely is a widespread perception that "wokism" is too powerful, and the anti-wokes feel disenfranchised because of it, so they vote for populists.
But yeah, not a great business decision!

From his pov it makes complete sense: he thinks there is a woke conspiracy amongst advertisers and the media. He expects that to collapse eventually because the general public is less woke. In that case the advertisers will suffer a bit.

They already use pretty much all available data, they just need to get better at distilling knowledge from it.
