The Stardew wiki for example is lovely, is hosted by the dev, and I think is a big part of keeping that game popular and accessible! Fans are happy to do the work if they're given a nice space to do it, and devs could also take a more authored approach, if there's budget/time, more like a manual.

maybe a weird take but: players *are* gonna use wikis to learn about game mechanics (I personally really enjoy reading wikis in between playing) - hosting or writing a nice, updated wiki or online manual rather than relying on fextralife or fandom is one thing that could become more common?

honorable mentions: Lavinia by Ursula K. Le Guin; Frankenstein in Baghdad by Ahmed Saadawy; The Long Way to a Small Angry Planet by Becky Chambers

ooh OK very hard to narrow it down but I think I have to say A Memory Called Empire by Arkady Martine! A mind-bending but also very human sci-fi epic full of political intrigue and messy cultural conflict, with a healthy dose of repressed lesbian yearning, it's absolutely awesome ^.^
