queerivy's five star Letterboxd review of The Princess Bride (1987), rewatched December 23, 2024 the detail i noticed this time is that during the second kink scene, when Humperdink sets the suck machine to 50, and Christopher Guest yells "not to fifty!" well so anyway, Christopher Guest starts out upset that his new special toy is gonna die, but then when the camera cuts back to him he's like "yeah, ok, i'm into it." I think it's neat Rob Reiner's vision included that bit, and it's details like that that make this movie such an enduring classic.
