Or when they’ve been posting about how “LGBT rights are under attack”. Like when other cis people read that they think gay marriage not trans genocide. It really doesn’t match the energy of the moment

More and more I am convinced that the only effective queer activism is going to be loud, unrelenting, and confrontational. Yes it will also be useful to have "friendly" and respectable queers who can do diplomacy and negotiation but those folx will need a stick and we need to be that stick.

3/ and then I would talk about how trans women share many of those same connections to womanhood. The primary difference is that they were born into a society that tried to force them into a gendered category that felt wrong

2/ And if they try to talk about biology, I personally would respond “I’d be pretty offended if you tried to reduce my womanhood to my biology alone. It’s much more complicated than that” and then talk about all of the complex expansive things womanhood means for me personally.

1/ If somebody is asking me this question they better be ready for a long conversation. Because to answer this question we need to talk about what makes anybody the gender they are. What makes them whatever gender they are? What makes me a cis woman?

Responding to a comment asking whether it would be better “debate whether gender ideology has gone too far” he responded with this comment, where he says the movement for trans rights was tacked on after gay rights was “won” after federal marriage legalization. It’s infuriating
