I got a good grade in Employment, something that is reasonable to want and possible to achieve,

so far I’ve been working in publishing for like seven weeks and it still feels like a fever dream, in the sense that something Happens & you just have to be like “oh. okay.” & roll with it gjfjgkkdk

it was nerve-wracking at first bc I kept thinking to myself “how the fuck did I end up getting drinks with a bunch of complete strangers,” but ultimately it was fine & fun & the boss paid for our drinks lmao. I ate Many fries

not long ago I attended a book launch for my job and somehow got invited to drinks with the author’s editor, who was also an agent & had also invited a bunch of other ppl for drinks, including a different author she repped, her boss, her assistant, & an acupuncturist who was just happy to be there

the publishing scene in (redacted city) is fun bc invariably you end up running into the same people over and over again and you’re just like oh! I know you!! and then many interesting things can happen lol
