There isn't a mechanism in our government the president could use to "cancel elections." I wish the Left would stop conjuring up a nightmare fantasy and instead focus on the very real attempts at restricting voting like voter ID laws.

Hope he keeps saying it because it will only keep his base voters at home. There isn't a means by which the president could suspend or postpone elections in America.

Meanwhile our dear leader sits in his golden palace in Florida

Sorry but I'm getting increasingly angry at members of the left jumping at every dumb statement Trump says about elections. Its distracting from what the GOP *can* do to twist existing election laws like restrictive voter ID and selectively closing polling places among others.

I get that this administration plays loose with law and does everything they can get away with but everything done by this administration has come from "creative interpretations" of existing laws. It's still all bad faith but there isn't an existing mechanism here to twist.

Can we please stop being alarmist over "cancelling elections." The president doesn't have that power. No one in this country does. No matter what he does, he couldn't "cancel elections." Elections are done by individual states. There isn't a way any federal (or state) official can cancel them.

Why does he look like a cardboard cutout?

It's really *funny* how I couldn't tell what this post was referring to at first. Do you mean Venezuela, Iran, or Minnesota? Oh, it's us.

The answer to the question is those who would be marching for Trump are already recruited into ICE.

Stay strong dude!

The act of a regime knowing the end is near. It's been a long time coming.

It's not that Trump will cancel elections (there's literally no mechanism whereby he or any president could), it's the fact that he can say that and get away with it.

That said, it's a setup for a low-balling. Still not likely going anywhere because of the guy who introduced it but it's an attempt to nudge the window.

who has zero committee assignments, none of the cosponsors are on the Judiciary Committee, and this bill is not attached to a spending measure. It's so extremely broad no one in even a moderately safe seat will touch it.

Not saying we shouldn't be vigilant against shit like this but also let's try and not cause panic attacks. This bill has an extremely low chance of even getting a committee vote much less a floor vote. It has a zero chance of passing. It was introduced by known little freak Josh Shrier.

All those flags repeated like that made me think of Third Impact in End of Evangelion
