Very proud of Topaz. Not only did she hatch 3 gorgeous little bantam chicks, she has been the most incredible doting mother.

Mother hen sits next to her newly hatched chick. Mother hen is a blue splash barnevelder. She has bright orange eyes and looks into the camera. Her feathers start grey around her face and fade to a cream down her neck. Her body feathers are a golden ginger with cream lace around each one.
The little chick is very small and very fluffy. It has black feathers with a white stripe starting under its chin and going all the way down its chest. It has dark eyes that are looking at the camera.

The same mother hen sits facing away from the carera. Her head is only just visible in the shadows of her nesting box. A fluffy little black chick is only just visible in the shadow. Closest to the camera and in clear focus is the back of a fluffy little cream coloured chick sitting amongst the straw. It is facing away from the camera so you can't see its eyes or beak, but you can see the black stirpe of it has starting at the top of its head coming down its neck and back.

The little chick is very small and very fluffy. Only its face and chest are visible, peaking around mums wing. It has pure black feathers, it's dark eyes are looking at the camera almost quisikly.
