if you only mask around me, you're saying that some disabled lives are "worth" protecting, and others aren't. this is my community. if you're not going to protect all of us, then you're feeding into eugenics, and i want no part in that.

This is a call to action.
40-50% of COVID infections are asymptomatic. This means: You can be infected without feeling sick or showing symptoms. You can still contract Long COVID. You can still develop lifelong health problems or even die from Long COVID complications. You can unknowingly spread COVID to people, who will then unknowingly keep spreading the virus. It's likely that someone in this infection chain will not survive it. Vaccines do not prevent infection! Wearing a mask significantly reduces the chances of these risks. This isn't fear mongering. This is a call to action. COVID is very real and it's surging, but it can be stopped. Wear a mask, protect yourself and your loved ones, and push back against the Trump regime's constant attacks on science and healthcare. We're all in this together.
