Just got the airship in Arc Rise Fantasia. No matter how many rpgs I play the feeling of getting the airship and the freedom to explore the world never gets old.

So i want to preference this by saying I love Berseria and I'm happy even more people will be able to play it. That said I have become incredibly disappointed with the Tales Remastered Project. The games they have chosen to remaster are not really the ones that desperately needed it and it's a shame

Here are the game up for my personal GOTY. All of these were first time plays for me so and I really loved them all. When I finish Arc Rise Fantasia I'll be able to crown a winner.

You can still love that game & play it repeatedly. Don’t let anyone/anything get in the way of that over arbitrary award shows.

It's crazy that I spent most of the year gaming on old consoles. My Wii and my PS3 have seen the most use this year and that isn't a coincidence. I think I just prefer that era of gaming 🎮

While gamers usually focus on story, characters or gameplay when talking about a game, I also think the setting is very important. I love exploring rich, beautiful worlds with their own history and customs.

I really like when a game has scale, even if it isn't a full 3D environment. This is something PS1 games did immensely well. This city looks huge and even though the actual map is puny in comparison it still feels like a bustling city.

Shout out to rpgs that still feature fully explorable world maps. After the sixth generation it looked like a feature that was being completely phased out but I'm always happy to see it implemented.

Spongebob is honestly a platforming icon to me in the same ways Spyro & Mario are. I adored these games growing up. I just picked up Truth or Square again and I'm excited to revisit it.
