I don’t want to be a parent because I feel like I would fuck it up in so many different ways. But then I hear about stuff like this and I wonder if I wouldn’t be too bad at it.

Given the right’s fetishization of Ancient Rome, their unironic love for dystopian sci-fi regimes like in Starship Troopers, and Trump’s weird obsession with Canada and Greenland, I wouldn’t be surprised if we get to a point where one of the perks of military service is citizenship.
