The restaurant is seasonal farm table Southern California and Latin American influence cuisine with a few Louisiana touches. The starters were all fantastic and a lot of fun. 2/x
Smoked albacore dip, with Carolina gold rice crackers Delicious and fun! About 2/3 of the plate is filled with the creamy white albacore dip, garnished with green herbs and some red paprika, and topped with these huge wavy fried rice crackers that almost look like chicharrones. Cream biscuits Steen’s butter, Col. Newsom’s aged country ham, Steen’s Louisiana cane syrup butter. 😍 Three golden flaky biscuits on a wooden charcuterie board, next to them a pile of shaved aged country ham, and a huge dollop of softened butter mixed with cane syrup. Absolutely amazing. Assembled cram biscuit & country ham closeup. I split it into three layers, stuffed each layer with ham and spread the biscuit with butter. Salad: Chicories Roasted persimmon vinaigrette, cheddar coins, crisp ham, chives This was delicious and HUGE, and could’ve been shared by four people. There’s radicchio and endive and freeze with large slices of orange persimmon, bits of crispy cheddar, and smaller bits of dark crispy ham.
