Also no one knows how it works. I legit think most people think it's an actual AI capable of thought and not histories most power hungry predict a text algorithm. That just bothers me specifically, it just math and conditional statements on a massive scale. Everyone stop talking to it like a person

Aside from that I feel the power, water, and physical space required just aren't worth the output. It's too much money going into something that has not proven itself profitable.

(i dont like how all technology now is just some asshole promising "This will maybe be AMAZING in 5 years.")

An employee known for getting things wrong.

Im an artist, but most of my jobs have been blue collar repair technician work. In that field you DO NOT put your name on work you didnt do because then you taje responsibility for the last guys fuck ups. I do not want to take that risk.

I agree with most of the broadstrokes arguments against ai, but my main issues are more practical tbh and I dont know why I never hear those arguments as much.

Like generating emails is unprofessional. ESPECIALLY if you don't read over whst the AI wrote. You are essentially delegating that task to

For further context twitter added a button that allows users to generate ai images using existing art posts from artists. It removes glaze and it basically reskins the artwork by using the existing work as a base. Twitter is no longer a safe space for art

Wait is this real?
So it literally just steals art and repaints it?

So they aren't even trying to hide it anymore -_-

NONE of these things are AI, they're algorithms. Combine that with a lot of people knowing how generative AI functions and situations like this were inevitable.

But we don't really have another term outside of "Generative AI" to differentiate it from other algorithms governing npc behavior.
