Paying money on free agents = “super villain”. How twisted. Every owner is sitting on a billion dollar asset. Some spend to try to win. Some don’t care. All the rest is BS.
The Dodgers at this point are just going all in on being baseball’s supervillain — which is fun since the Yankees have abdicated the role.

The greatest player of all time is wrapping up the best season in MLS history and virtually everyone — from league diehards to general American sports fans to the broader soccer world — just straight up doesn't care. This is (a) sociologically interesting and (b) an utter catastrophe for MLS
