ok maybe I'm a bit dumb but isn't anaemia an iron deficiency? Iron being a key component of haemoglobin, the pigment in red blood cells that carries oxygen? Whereas platelets are the colourless little goobers involved in blood clotting? Why would iron deficiency do anything to your platelets?
