Thanks to Science Centre Singapore for the opportunity to share our science this whole year! 🙌 For our last session on 22 Nov, we demonstrated how thermal cameras let us 'see' invisible infrared light, or blackbody radiation. Explaining this spectrum led to the introduction of 'quanta'.

Time to celebrate! PhD student Qin Qichen defended his thesis "Fast Sideband Cooling and Blade Trap for Multi-ion Clock"! 👏 He was advised by Murray Barrett. "I hope this work helps pave the way toward multi-ion optical clocks and new frontiers in quantum metrology,” says Qichen.
