Bit late to the party for this guy but here's another entry for #mythologymonday. It's Santa Claus, I feel like he needs no introduction.
For this design I tried to go back to older traditional figures like father Christmas or St. Nicholas.

Today for mythology Monday we have the viking anti hero, Starkad. He's a criminal, misfit and war hero. Loved by Odin and despised by Thor he lead the Swedes into battle against the Danes and gone on other many adventures.

Anyone know any good rendering techniques that give off the style of old-school OVAs? I really like the style of shading they use and I feel like I can't ever get it. It always comes off muddy when I do it.

My goofy ahh comic is heavily inspired by a lot of things but I think weird Japanese stuff like warioware, ridiculous movies like airplane and old school CN are the biggest influences.
