This massively depends on the kind of bug. Cockroaches... I'm not too fond of. But a bug is still just a bug. It is small, vulnerable, and just looking for food and safety. It should be treated with respect.

I neglected to mention insects of any kind. If it crawls with 6 legs or more (or none!), it's beloved. ^_^
