Too late - just like Biden, people’s perception of inflation under Trump will remain even if inflation slows down.

Wait. NYT didn’t even say this was legal or not? They can just “hand out” bonus checks to any government workers like that????????? Hello??? Are you a journalist or not????
November 14, 2025 at 1:58 PM
It is so bad that even Mike Johnson does not lie lol
November 14, 2025 at 1:19 PM
These lies won’t work when they are in charge of everything. These are the same as Trump saying “Prices are going down.” People know and feel it. They can introduce legislation to solve the issue tomorrow, but they won’t. They have no solution. Even if they did, they would not want to solve it.
November 14, 2025 at 1:15 PM
Addressing it by talking about it will not solve his political problem. During the campaign, he could just talk about it without actually solving it or taking responsibility. People don’t see it that way anymore. Any problems now are his. He will not do anything to actually solve them.

Is this even a good idea politically when there is an important Senate election in the state next year? They are trying to supercharge Democratic voters in the state??
November 13, 2025 at 10:33 PM
They literally had 15 years. They will just pretend to do this and move on. The issue is that people's premiums are skyrocketing. It is hard for people to forget that next year when they are paying hundreds or thousands more per month or when they don't pay insurance at all.
November 13, 2025 at 5:12 PM
To be fair, this admin would not even easily give $37 million to a blue state after a disaster. My state didn’t get disaster relief funds from Trump 1.0 until Biden got into office. It is just insane.

I don’t know him at all, but I went to that post. In the comments, someone said they were scared that he voted for Cuomo. But, a comment to that comment said he supported Zohran. Then, he liked that comment. It is confusing.
November 12, 2025 at 4:26 AM
I don’t think anyone doubts he will remain this way this year. The problem with him is that he probably will get primaries two years from now.
November 11, 2025 at 5:06 PM
I simply do not understand why they think this is tenable for their own future. At a certain point, people won't care about culture war issues when they are dying or starving... They will get utterly destroyed next year even with the sheer incompetent Dem leaders in charge.
November 11, 2025 at 6:24 AM
One silver lining is that these incompetent Dem leaders are radicalizing a lot of liberals. For example, I noticed that some influencers who interview Dem leaders are saying Schumer must go. I think this second capitulation was the final straw for a lot of people. People want fighters.

Well. For a city that is a progressive's wet dream, this election is uncomfortably close. I am not sure why. I didn't really follow the mayor's race, so there must be some flaws in Wilson.
November 11, 2025 at 1:26 AM
So, progressives did fairly well last week (if her lead stays) in WA.
November 10, 2025 at 11:57 PM
It’s okay. They voted for the pay package for Musk. All will be fine!
November 10, 2025 at 4:44 PM
Interesting…. They decided not to touch same sex marriage…
November 10, 2025 at 2:33 PM
What if the House just shelves it even if the Senate passes it?????? It is not guaranteed unlike a funding bill that includes ACA subsidies!!!!!!
November 10, 2025 at 1:47 PM
Any meaningful immigration reform at this point would be the Rs nuking the filibuster and Dems taking control of the Senate eventually… sigh
November 10, 2025 at 3:22 AM
Then, many people will NOT have health insurance because of their health care premium hikes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
November 10, 2025 at 2:53 AM
Stunning… they are really not ready for the moment. “I didn’t stand up to the bully because he was stubborn.”
November 10, 2025 at 2:46 AM
You forgot Schumer. He voted no, but everyone knows this would not happen without his support.
November 10, 2025 at 2:34 AM
And, if the House decides to shelve it even if this promised imaginary bill passes the Senate????
November 10, 2025 at 2:31 AM
Nope. Now, you showed you would cave when cornered. Trump and Republicans will do it again next year.
November 10, 2025 at 2:24 AM
Chuck Schumer does not even have balls to vote yes because he’s so scared of being torched. Only those centrists with no future voted yes to give a middle finger to the base. And, this thing just moves to February now.
November 10, 2025 at 2:23 AM
What’s funny is Schumer voting no when it was him okaying this whole thing. He doesn’t even have balls to vote yes because he knows he will get destroyed by everyone.
