Literally what I did once as a student, just identifying random insects caught in a Malaise trap for days on end. Would not be surprised if this is a very similar job, which would also explain the vaguities - they wouldn't be able to list all the types of arthropods that may be in there yet anyway

Maybe like "the continent is crumpling in on itself due to an heretofore unknown gigantic cave system collapsing, pandemonium on the moving cities trying to race away from the growing hole, and also the ocean with all that is in it rushes in to fill the gap and devour the unlucky survivors"

I think you're asking the wrong question: shouldn't it rather be, "what would Terra's Roland Emmerich movies look like?"
Because in our world, those movies are about larger than life catastrophes. Knowing the stuff that goes on on Terra - what would that look like, applied to their world?

To be fair, I did always like the (mostly unexplored) line of thinking that lead Marcille to research "forbidden magic" in the first place - that just because something is forbidden, it may not be inherently bad, it's just something that someone in power doesn't want you to use.

I could definitely see how a couple of details that this movie put more focus on than Murnau's original may have inspired Eggers, especially how if you compare the three movies, Nosferatu becomes increasingly more man than creature throughout the years.
Also, yeah, that was a curious detail.

Oh, yeah, the ending still upsets me, (spoilers to anyone who hasn't finished Berseria and for some reason is still reading this) she deserved to find happiness after all of the grief she went through!
And yes, all of the small exchanges between the characters added so much.

I like how the game goes out of its way to tell you that Magilou definitely isn't an elf, but also offers no alternative explanation for her ears.
