good morning i woke up to this
screenshot of a photo of someone's quest vr headset showing a system alert warning dialog that the headset temperature is rising and it will power off. it instructs the user to remove the headset and let it cool down before continuing use, to reduce the risk of personal injury. the screenshot was taken from a thumbnail of a facebook post, which is, for some reason, titled "Air fryer door not closing properly"

from
a very nicely taken photo of a scrappy little ultra-high-vacuum chamber assembly undergoing maintenance. it is a cluster of metal-and-glass viewports and electrical feedthroughs on short metal tubes, arranged spherically to about 0.5m in diameter, all focused at a point in the center of a larger vacuum chamber. the larger chamber connects to a long pipeway of other vacuum chambers, seen trailing into the background some distance away. a hand extends from offscreen and is tightening a bolt on a flange; there's motion blur showing them taking up the slack on the wrench and it then stopping from the resistance of the next turn. the vacuum chamber itself has a variety of wires dangling around, or run around it. there is a very chonky set of six copper coils woven through the chamber's instrument pipes, each made of a fair number of thick-gauge rigid enameled magnet wire bundles. each of the six loops is paired up with another in parallel, and each pair is arranged like X, Y, and Z axes around the experiment. they are held in place around the pipes of the vacuum chamber, using a couple zipties here and there.

a piece of folded black metal hangs over a metal vent by a clip on a wire. it is outdoors, rainy, and dark from the side, the metal cover is wide open, but should help redirect rainfall while letting proper gas exchange happen
