QCDSA’s Mutual Aid Working Group was in Davenport today giving out winter clothing and hygiene supplies to our unhoused comrades. As socialists, we believe that everyone should have their essential needs met, but capitalism creates the conditions for homelessness to exist. 🧵

@ericsorensen.bsky.social voted with Republicans for the Laken Riley Act, a bill that allows migrants to be detained by ICE for a variety of minor offenses. This bill has passed Congress and will certainly be signed by Trump into law, further emboldening his power grab and persecution of immigrants
