In a vacuum it's an overpay for a potential rental player. But you have three or four contenders sniffing at a limited edge market rn. Assume that pushed price up. I also assume Vic had high praise and trust him to get Phillips back to the guy who had 6.5 sacks in 8 games.

A history of injury is always worrisome albeit not necessarily indicative, but at least encouraging to see him play all games this year so far.
