Cis "allies" in my state have so far only gotten outraged and stepped up to defend entertainment they love to consume (book bans and drag show bans). Completely ignoring the things most vital to trans people's lives, like bans on bathrooms, proper ID, healthcare, and more.

I love the way the narrative is descriptive but never overly so. Each character has a unique voice, and little regional phrases like “might should have been" are a nice touch.

Yesterday the Democrats posted a homophobic Valentine's Day meme. Went to see if they took it down and/or apologized (lol) and found one of the block lists I'm subbed to took care of that. Man, I love Bluesky. ❤️🔥

I'm playing in the orchestra for a local high school's musical and wearing this t-shirt at rehearsal tonight. (I live in a state that's one of the most hostile to trans people.) So many of the kids have complimented me on this shirt. 🥹💙🩷💙🩷

It's tech week, so we're keeping things light this week. Trying out a new-to-us card game called Ecologies, which ties in perfectly with what the kid has been learning recently. Pretty fun and very easy to learn! #Unschooling #Games

A violist friend and I played a surprise recital of old standards at a retirement home last week, once the roads were cleared of snow. We just set up in the lobby and did our thing. The residents were tickled!
(We had a private gig there earlier in the week that was cancelled due to weather.)
