I've never thought the media gave him the status he rightly deserved
He wasn't always played as a key fwd. I recall in his younger days he often was played up the field or down back

Literally had every skill at an elite level, and was quite mobile for a KPP at the time
Eg
His left foot was behind probably only Lloyd/Lucas, and he was a right footer
He could do it all, except training of course
