Moreover, we identify 3 ideal types of DCE studies with farmers: 1) primary focus: land use prescription 2) building on land use prescription, but focusing on contract design 3) combining preference analysis of land use prescriptions and contract design features.

Going through the literature, we structured the empirical studies into two groups: 1) studies analysing land use prescriptions, and 2) studies analysing precise contract design features.

Based on this classification, we analyse and compare the findings of respective subcategories.

Before we went on vacation we added compost to our raised bed in our garden. Quickly, tomatoes started growing there. Now after returning from vacation, the 🍅 completely took over. Ironically, most of our planted 🍅 did not grow at all.

An interesting new study by ZALF colleague Meike Fienitz, using #QualitativeComparativeAnalysis (#QCA) to determine which conditions explain latent, collaborative, or escalated dynamics in #LandUseConflicts (and how to get people to work together more often in these conflicts).
