Turns out: "Checksummer" was the tool for basic listings, the machine code tool was called "mse" (=MaschinenSpracheEditor), oh well... It's been a few years...

Several german magazines used an input tool called "Checksummer" (a pun on checksum & the german word for buzzer - "summer", I suppose) which checked the input with a checksum for each line.
The machine code here looks like MLX does something similar.
