I have a big volcableberry.
Post a perfect album from the 90s that isn’t Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Soundgarden or Alice in Chains.

This books is so stupidly good. Anna Karenina Isn’t Dead - rewriting the stories of literary heroines who died, went mad, married unhappily etc. I was wondering why I liked it SO
much and decided it’s so full of hope and joy and lives turned to happiness. It’s a balm upon the soul right now.

The red flower is getting filled in. Cross-stitch is definitely meditative, not swift :)

I got behind on this due to life but trying to catch up. The Whole Picture by Alice Proctor. A really good study of colonialism in art and museums. I’ve been interested in repatriation for a long time and this is a good starter kit. A bit didactic towards the end but a good read overall.

Feel it’s time to start this again. Swan Sister anthology by Ellen Datlow/Terri Windling. A gentle tween/very YA set of rewritten fairy tales of nice quality until the final story. My Swan Sister by Katherine Vaz is an exquisite jewel that left me sobbing on the couch. Life, love & death in 11 pages

Wise advice, I feel. I once transferred someone’s family film VHS to DVD and handed it back saying “fair warning, it was the 70s and your dad wore very short shorts. Like, VERY.”

I always forget how much I enjoy reading Margaret Atwood until I read another Margaret Atwood. Has started strong.
