I make pretty stuff so you can take it for granted.
Stumbled upon this festival related niché.
Could be doing better at life. Lover of music.

@thehornesection.bsky.social Here's a clip of the 24 hour mark, if you wanted it.

Here's a cropped pic of two foxes having a nap, from January.

Ok, I might have been busy with qplanner.
I still have a couple more things to sort out, but this is the current changelog.
Everything listed is live right now.

Event filtering is now live on qplanner!

Filter out days, stages, stages on specific days, and stage labels

The filter works with PDF output as well (replacing the existing similar options)

The menu in the bottom panel has been adjusted

I'll do a blog post once I'm happy there's no show stoppers

I think I have filtering sorted out now.
It just needs a bit of UI to manage it.

You'll be able to filter: Days, Stages, Stages per day, and Stage Labels (so you can filter out areas of the event, or whatever)

I've just improved the text layout code for PDFs, in the planner view.
* Improved and tightened the vertical spacing between lines
* Added an extra pass to repack text that's filling/overflowing the container

Thrilling before/after images attached.

qplanner now has refreshed artist data, and images are back!

Data sources are @musicbrainz.org @lastfm.bsky.social and @wikimediafoundation.org

I still need to add back the small images on the user selection page, and mobile long press.

I plan on adding artist checks/suggestions in the creator.

This background image choice might not work well with every artist image/planner theme, but I thought I'd put it out there as it works well here.

Last.fm doesn't normalise track names against releases.
A frustrating oversight.

I think my markdown pages are feature complete now.
Since the last post I've added support for:
* Icons
* Internal links (besides the direct links to subpages at the top of each page)
* A way for collapsibles to opt-out of automatic accordion grouping

Here's markdown-it-collapsible in React Native, with optional hue, and automatic accordion grouping.

I have no doubt that it has been done at least 37 times before...

Here's some glass in a normal webpage, using just CSS.

- Try selecting the text
- Click the orb to move it around

This only works in Firefox/Gecko based browsers, and it's a serious performance killer.

Just received a glowing review of my browser extension for localising times found in webpages.

In previous years I've had a little extra live Glastonbury map, on qplanner.
I neglected to set it up last year.
Is there any interest in one for this year?
(Somebody will need to help play pin-the-stages-on-the-map though)

Recolouring works.
I think it would be nice to have a flag for whether a logo should be recoloured or not. I'm sure there's situations where that's a wise move.
There's a fair bit of work between having this code and getting something useable into qplanner, and I should be working on the phone app.

Adding vector logo support to PDF output is actually coming along.
I need to work out how to nicely recolour them, so they can match the text colour.

I added obj creation to a fork of my planner social image code, so now I have proper 3d models of stage times for events.

I saw a repeat of Ardal O'Hanlon's The Emerald Isles, and I knew I had to make a Father Ted style edit of this shot.

Here's a very niche tool.

The official F1 account stopped tweeting the full qualifying results, and somebody on Reddit complained.
So I recreated the old graphic, using the Jolpica F1 API.

I've fixed the viewport scaling used by my Baba Is You clone, so it's not going to get cut off on mobile again.
