Yes indeed. Seeing a 9-car Azuma cross the bridge was impressive. Hope you all have fun with the layout tomorrow.

Whittlesmarch was nice - there were some cracking small layouts and dioramas. Euxton Jcn looked very good with the wires, but we visited during a lull in operations and didn’t see much running.

I just found the answer to my question - Kreuzweg! The joys of scrolling down my feed in reverse order!

I enjoyed it too. What was your favourite layout? I think Dawlish Warren held my attention the longest, but plenty of others were inspiring to see.
I could have spent a fortune but managed to only spend money on door and drink!

That’s impressive! I’ll be there tomorrow so I’ll be able to see it up close. 👍

I’m still on Mastodon, but I still don’t really “get it”! All those different servers/areas, it’s all a bit weird and I don’t have the time to work it all out. A lot of the people there seem to be computer/network experts, but I’m just a casual user.

I do miss the Twitter model railway community, but could not bear the rest of it. I do wonder what Twitter is like these days - the adverts and….opinion pieces…must be off the charts these days!

I kept it for the same reason, until I started receiving those emails along the lines of “We have compromising pictures of you and will share them with all of your Facebook contacts”. They didn’t, they couldn’t, but I decided enough was enough. No Facebook for me for 8 yrs. not missed it at all!

Yes, seeing the “Shove-Duffs” working out of Padd and Waterloo was wild for while, but losing the 50s made things a bit sterile.

Nice to see Latchmere here on BlueSky, as I don’t do Twitter or Instagram. 👍

And that story is why I could never do your job, so chapeau for surviving the shift. Even if I could master the rules, shifts and language challenges, it’s the confrontational nature of some situations that would put me off.

Hoping your next journey is more “mellow” than “merde”!

I’m not familiar with that van, but it has a bit of character with that bonnet! A nice way to get back in to it. Let us see how they turn out.

One can never have enough staging/fiddle yard capacity!

Wow, that is superb - talk about a one-of-a-kind boxcar! Very good.

Neither would fit in my garage! 😀
