Catra is one of the most important characters in all of media for me. And it is because Catra has the same wounds I do. I saw them again listening to Breach this morning. And the triumph over those wounds and demons is not going to be loud and raucous. It will be tired and soft.

I expected that Breach was going to be difficult for the Clancy. I did not expect it would be difficult for me. I did not expect to hear lyrics that so simply and delicately sliced me open like razors. I did not expect to be hearing Vessel. I did not expect to see my demons.

Catra - Breach

Breach is the final installment in the Blueryface saga and, much like Catra’s story, it was not what I expected. You would think, that after a decade long story about combatting an inner demon, the end would be a raucous celebration of liberation. At least I did.

Adora - Clancy

Clancy is probably my FAVORITE top album, and Adora is my favorite everything. Lore tells us the album is about preparing for a final showdown. The album itself tells us it is an introspective look at what makes Clancy, CLANCY. And most notable among this things?

Glimmer - Blurryface

Blurryface is the first album in the eponymous saga and an introduction to the character, as well as the struggle against him. There are themes of frustration, nostalgia, anxiety, and, most prevalent, the feeling of coming up short. See Glimmer in S4.

Bow - Scaled & Icy

Scaled & Icy is, seemingly, twenty one pilots most upbeat album. But if you’re hip to the lore you (or listen to lyrics) you know the themes are still quite somber but they are wrapped up in a bit of a forced positivity. So why Bow? See S4E8 “Boys Night Out”

And made the healdliner (MGMT) look like chumps.

And while I cannot rap for shit, that all changes for (the first verse) of Ode to Sleep.

Now that I have established myself an expert…

I have also been a twenty one pilots fan since high school. I saw them perform at a local music festival in the Vessel era. Tyler climbed the scaffolding of the stage in a Mickey Mouse print shirt and Josh crowd surfed on a slab of glorified press board. They were the openers.

What are my qualifications? I have watched She-Ra (SPOP) so many times I can recite most episodes nearly word for word and my fanfiction has been praised *specifically* for characterization.
