Two teams of software devs getting retasked from some other project to work on a refund system. "Mod portal" is some piece of software. An "epic" is a definition for a "large" unit of software development that will be subdivided into smaller work items for tracking and planning purposes.

At this rate, no one will be getting any refunds until OmegaStar finally supports ISO timestamps.

This is sage advice for a bunch of fields outside of law, as well.

Except, Trump hasn't actually done anything as far as I can tell to actually "take over" anything in VZ.

He says he's done so, but I don't see any marines, no occupying forces.

8:00 am punishment lecture, I see.

In all likelihood the specific boats that were sunk will not be part of the a Cartel de los Soles conspiracy alleged against Maduro.

Then it will be irrelevant what drugs those boats may or may not have been carrying.

The charge is for possessing the machine gun while performing the drug trafficking activities alleged in count 2. It seems the US gains jurisdiction on the drug trafficking because drugs were allegedly imported to the US.

They don't pay embedded device software developers to make them very smart.

I was referencing 18 USC 3288. It doesn't toll the statute exactly. Instead it grants a window to refile a dismissed indictment.
December 14, 2025 at 3:24 PM
The gov at least has an argument that a law grants them a six month extension, because of how the case was filed and dismissed.

Of course Comey will argue there is no extension because the indictment was invalid on the first place.

It's not just fast action. There's a 5 page legal opinion with all the citations and everything. Delivered before breakfast.

The unclear part is whether the 4th circuit motions panel will go for mandamus or not. Or one of those temporary "administrative" stays.

This picture appears to be missing the ducts. Where does the cotton go after it passes through the headers?

If they didn't put limits on it then doctors and lawyers and such would start working for tips.

I think they can keep trying until they give up, since James is not in custody. Or until the 10 year statute of limitations runs out.

Are the (U) markings there in the screenshot because these messages were published in The Atlantic?

i.e. the content was S/NF at the time and downgraded to U after it was leaked?

I believe normal procedure is that it's a charter plane. Not a public flight. But the plane carries a substantial section for the press to travel with the Pope. And it's pretty common that the Pope will visit the back section to chat with them.

The normal excuse to ban beards is that they interfere with tight fit on a gas mask or oxygen mask (for pilots).

With "Captain" in scare quotes, is it even possible that Hegseth didn't realize that Navy captain is a much higher rank than Army captain?

This other lightweight suit concept has been kicking around science fiction for a while, and it's gotten some NASA concept studies.

The idea is use something like neoprene to provide pressure by mechanical compression, and only the helmet area is inflated.

The self assembling helmet is optional.
November 25, 2025 at 1:27 PM
So one of the problems with the current suit is they inflate like a balloon. And it requires a lot of effort just to move your arms or legs from the default, fully-inflated position.
