Counterpoint: LARP is extremely holodecky, but also constrained by practicalities (you know the site boundaries) and focused on an intensely social experience.
But it still sometimes leaves players feeling lost if they don't know how to engage.

I think it's notable that even Particle6's own youtube channel has no examples of Tilly Norwood actually ACTING. I suspect the first director to attempt to coax a performance out of this thing is going to be disappointed...

I've worked in video games for 30 years at places like EA and TT Games, ran my own studio AND know hundreds of folk in the games industry...and I'm still finding it hard to find a new job.

That would work better than the "beat target by 8" which means that with hard skill checks it is impossible to crit.
