Quite Good, Thank You
Quite Good, Thank You
@qgty.bsky.social
A twitter refugee - and the handle means "Quite good thank you"

Actually it doesn't. I was looking for a short handle and that was the only 4 letter one I could find.

Tend to post random quips, as reality is just too bleak
I do love the "...after the Chancellor was accused..." passive voice.

I think who was firing off unfounded accusations - lobby journalists and opposition politicians - is now an important part of the story.

It is probably heating induced by the magnets - I was in an MRI playing "Has this dude any gallstones"? and no contrast or anything. Felt I was being cooked.

That Trump doesn't know what was being scanned is just not plausible as well.

And: hope you are well now!

Every day is "Chris Mason sucks" day. Just some days we notice more.

The "charge" seems to be that she didn't correct the papers' rampant erroneous speculation

Well, no why should she? She is the Chancellor, not some fairy god-mother whose job it is to stop them talking utter bollocks

Suspect that are just annoyed the financial markets said "Like" to the budget

I just wish the OBR was one step ahead and put an entirely bogus set of numbers at that URL (marked "Test - not for publication" somewhere unobtrusive) just for the press apoplexy and howls of outrage.

I'd never noticed the diet-Peston intonation before, with a touch of the Shatner gap. Well spotted.

Usually too offended by the content of the utterance to pay much attention to the form.

If they had a parrot from a brothel it would be both more intelligent and less offensive that Mason.

Ask the drivers then - I think Lando even slowed up a bit so they could stack and do both.

But doing something dumb in the interests of fairness is even dumber that the dumb thing you just did.

There were only three calls - both pit, one pits, none pits.

And they, with laser focus, picked the worst option. #F1

It's November, for pity's sake.

Only thing I can think of is checking for "impossible" deltas - e.g. is the output from the sensor is a slow changing short int then 127,128,126 is reasonable, but 127,0,126 isn't.

Probably wrong, but fun to speculate.

Seriously?!?! 😂

I do know the Heavenly Father takes a dim view of astroturf - what with all the grass he created (after complaints from the dinosaurs about "all these bloody ferns" - but that ended badly for them).

Smiting bodes for these skinflints.

Oddly not - there is a celestial "Mansion Dilapidation Service" to ensure that doesn't happen.

Mind, that service is just an Angel with a half brick to lob through a convenient window.

In my Father's house there are many mansions, all worth £1.9M

Umm - "No state". Apart from the Roman Empire, which was the state in which Christianity started.

No Welfare: well, apart from things like Cura annonae aka Grain Dole which has been described as "a permanent social welfare program which comprised a substantial part of the state budget"

This is why you need an emergency collapsable vuvuzela - intensely loud, very irritating, yet not as bad as a twat shouting into a mobile.

4 factions for 6MPs!?!? This is amateur hour. There are potentially 63 factions so this is under 10% of the possible total.

They are not even trying.

Um - if you are travelling at the speed of light then relativistic time dilation means the journey takes zero time (in the travellers frame of reference)...

And you can't catch the radiowaves either

I think there is: websites are cached (certainly back in 2002) and the site you are seeing is maybe 15 mins out of date for the index page.

As a reporter you are trying to access a report you genuinely believe has been published to work round this problem.
November 27, 2025 at 4:04 PM
It is "knowingly unathorised access" but it is horribly badly written. What consitutes "authorised" in the context of a link to a website?

Link is a reasonable summary (and I don't think it was unauthorised) but OTOH brute force guessing would be unauthorised so a grey area IMO
Intentia vs. Reuters: A (Slightly) Contrarian View - CITP Blog
The recent dispute between Intentia and Reuters has gotten lots of online attention, most of it scornful of Intentia's position. I think Intentia is wrong, but it's a closer call than most online comm...
