There is no 4k bluray of Michael Clayton? And apparently the Blu-ray is one of the worst transfers ever made? The fuck are we doing.

Dog Day Afternoon, 1974. No music, which I liked. Excellent camera work. Sonny teaching the hostage how to do a military performance with his rifle was funny. The hostages in general seemed to be enjoying themselves. The long phone call between Sonny and Leon was terrific.

A House of Dynamite, 2025. A very gripping start that feels like a modern guide to nuclear war. However, the structural resets of the movie got in the way of telling a full, complete story.

California Split, 1974. Elliot Gould was so funny with his constant patter. I could see Seth Rogen doing the part in a remake. Goldblum looks 12 and milks his one scene. George Segal goes through a strange dour transformation halfway through.

Dr. Strangelove, 1964. Just okay. But Peter Sellers’ performance (three characters!) was so fucking funny.

Fail Safe, 1964. It raises a lot of questions that we’re dealing with re AI and decision making. Fonda as the president is great. He never tells anyone what he’s thinking unless he needs to. Also no music at all in the film. It just lets you think about everything.
