One fair warning if you're thinking of jumping on the test branch: it's definitely buggy. Some of it is amusing, like atmo suits on the ground blowing up in size. Others are more game breaking, like conveyor loaders randomly not working. Back up your saves, or wait until full release.

All in all, a lot of stuff I like, some stuff that doesn't seem useful, and maybe one small negative. Not a game changer patch, but quite respectable, and I love that Klei is still putting out these sorts of updates.

Critter morphs: I like the ideas of shatter floxes, much in the way I like glossy dreckos. Husky moos don't seem too useful yet, though I bet someone will figure out how to make them worthwhile.

Insulated door: limited usefulness. Unpowered, no automation port, and it opens/closes significantly slower than manual airlocks. I'd use these sparingly, if at all.

Plywood: Is this supposed to be easier to get than wood? It doesn't feel like it. Maybe it's more relevant on Relica, but otherwise I have basically no resin to work with. You also can't use plywood in wood burners or ethanol distillers, which makes me feel like I won't bother with it.

Printerceptor: seems like a very worthwhile trait. It's a bit more limited than I expected in what it can make, but I think it's fair. It also makes me want to restart my Ceres run with it enabled.

Non-assigned mess tables is great though. It means eating rooms can be quite a bit smaller, especially with schedules putting dupes on tightly-controlled eating times to get the communal table bonus.

Banquet halls: I was under the impression that these would be a step up from great halls. They're not. They take the place with +6 morale, while great halls are downgraded to +4. Bummer, but I suspect it's not that big of a deal.

Jet suits: I never used them before because I was told they were slow and awkward. These new ones feel decidedly not slow and awkward. I'd want to hear from people who have used the old ones for a better comparison, but this also feels like a win.

Starmap changes: all-around fantastic. I like the idea that I can mine somewhere that has liquids or gasses and come back later for them instead of having to lug along the relevant cargo bays.

I'm also idly wondering if I should restart my Ceres run with the new updates. Less than 100 cycles in, and a new story trait feels like it might be a big enough deal to warrant a restart.

Potential fix: wood burners! I've always ignored these because they're evidently bad, but hey, I need something in lieu of coal anyway.

Besides, the flox ranch is up and running. We're getting a reliable supply of wood, I think
