I've been going to my local donut shop for coffee (top pot in Seattle). Not sure if there are any mom-n-pop shops which serve coffee in your area, but I'm sure they'd be excited for the business (and can't be worse coffee than Dunkin')

No need to feel embarrassed, it's a great series which isn't overly well known. MC is an engineer-adjacent profession who is turned into a vampire, then learns magic... Kind of niche but I enjoy them!

Python is valued for being easy to learn and do things with. Not for efficiency, scalability, multi-threading, innate GPU integration, native libraries (no library could be native to Python since it doesn't support Machine Code compilation), etc... just that it's easy to pick up and use.

It takes most of the first book to get its legs, but the wider story does start getting good by book 2. By book 7, it's very hard to put down.

I remember running through the woods near our house, sometimes for hours on end. I also remember spending a lot of time playing with weird things (shoelaces, tin foil, soda caps, etc) and being yelled at for being weird... Really don't miss that level of judgement of things I find interesting...

Good solution! Take money away from health insurance companies in the form of government subsidies (which could be withheld to improve service), and have citizens give the money to insurance companies in the form of premiums (which can't be withheld)! Makes so much sense when put that way!

Even without the Epstein files, he's done more than enough to warrant impeachment and removal. He could be out of the office this next week if the Rs in Congress had a backbone...

That's what I heard. If you're withholding something until people do what you want:
1) that's blackmail
2) you have the power to stop withholding the thing...
"I will withhold SNAP until the Dems open the government" is then "I have the power to curb hunger, but I use that power to b-mail Dems"
