yeah i think its just that this guy is so present and annoying and naggy that he just doesn't fit. Metroid games do have cool companions! But this guy is not one of them(imo)

I've never played a metroid game but the vibe from what I've watched has always been about exploration in unfamiliar environments, alone and with only your own skill and tools. This guy is such a fucking crowbar in the gears that its not even funny
