They did grow up with WW2 vets. It’s just the vets they grew up with were German pows. The US let a large portion of those pows stay here after the war. The German pow camps, that I am aware of are mainly in red states.

2/2 The reason was a natural disaster but any information on the quake was scrubbed from US websites.

I’m just suspicious any time a decent sized quake suddenly is removed from the map. Since once a large quake was removed that happened in Guatemala, a volcano near their capital went off causing a pyro clastic flow. But a few days later us news was reporting an increase in Guatemalan immigrants 1/2

Answer is because they changed the settings, which is dumb.

Very weirdly this earthquake isn’t showing up the USGS website for earthquakes, but the one off of Chile shows up. Off to try and find out why it isn’t listed.
